How Can We Take Away Your Mother

vegan-vegetarian love the animals! How Can We Take Away Your Mother

How can we take away your mother, leave you hungry and thirsty and not let you have your milk. How can we slaughter your mother, who cried for you, and then take away your life too. Your nature is gentle and you want to be loved, your whole being is innocent. You naively suckle at the fingertips of the Oppressor. I would give my life to stop this cruelty, the strength of humanity to stop violent humans with the profit and machines. As I have more connection with you, within the Animal Kingdom as one, to restore Peace within Nature

Turkey Rescue 2011

Please enjoy, post and share this fun video, which introduces Russell and Perry who were saved from the Thanksgiving slaughter industry. You'll see them getting their bath and blow-dry, meeting the neighborhood kids, getting tucked in for their first night in their safe little coop, and wandering freely and happily around the garden. The video includes a playful little retrospective of my three previous turkey couples, including their meetings with some animal friendly celebs. It also has a brief segment reminding us of the fate of the other 60 million turkeys who were bred for this year's Thanksgiving.

Russell and Perry were named after the newly vegan newlyweds Russell Brand and Katy Perry. They were originally Russell and Katy but when Katy let out a very loud and very male gobble we realized that she, or he, had to be renamed. I hope you enjoy getting to know them.

Protecting Marine Life: We Must Be Guardians Of The Earth

The brutal exploitation of our aquatic cousins and the decimation of the oceans at the hands of man has now reached catastrophic proportions. The killing of hundreds of tons of fish each year... the capture, confinement and slaughtering of whales, sharks and dolphins... the maiming and slaying of other marine life... all have devastating and far-reaching consequences. If we fail to defend the ocean and all that lives in its depths, then life on Earth will simply not exist. We need to change our ways and we need to do it NOW. We must begin to value all life upon Earth as having its own rightful existence and steer away from the arrogance that threatens to destroy us.

Easy things you can do:
Please don't support marine parks (prisons) or aquariums!
Please speak out against commercial whaling and shark finning!
Please don't eat fish and other seafood!

Veganism: Moral and Political Commitment to Abolition and Nonviolence

"Veganism is not merely a matter of diet; it is a moral and political commitment to abolition on the individual level and extends not only to matters of food, but to clothing, other products, and other personal actions and choices. Becoming a vegan is the one thing that we can all do today—right now—to help animals. It does not require an expensive campaign, the involvement of a large organization, legislation, or anything other than our recognition that if "animal rights" means anything, it means that we cannot justify consuming or using meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or other animal products.

Veganism reduces animal suffering and death by decreasing demand. It represents a rejection of the commodity status of nonhumans and recognition of their inherent value. Veganism is also a commitment to nonviolence and the animal rights movement should be a movement of peace and should reject violence against all animals—nonhuman and human"
